I'm sure it will get a dub for an inevitable DVD release and I'm sure it will be a lot better this time, the circumstances are very different.

Im sure this will make the the centre of hatred in this thread, but I actually prefer the butchered english dub to the original. The music was better, in the opening and especially during transformation/attack sequences, and the voices were less shrill. Also it explained the morale of each story at the end in a neat little segment. I assume the horrible dub/re-edit was made the make the show more accessible to both genders (ie less boring for stupid boys), and it worked for me.

Also I use to have the biggest crush on Mercury.

So like, is this going to be a reboot sort of thing? Because that would be really really awesome. I LOVED Sailor Moon when I was a kid, but I watch it now and I'm like "omigawd this is every bad dub cliche."

Yes, a reboot that's supposedly going to follow the manga more closely. I'm hoping they're following Evangelion's example (though Eva is making movies while Sailor Moon is making a new series) and go for ultimate badassery. I love the new Eva movies.

I would be cool with either a brand new chapter or a reboot. A reboot makes more sense though, because as far as I'm aware, Naoko Takeuchi hasn't written any more Sailor Moon, and she's apparently giving this her blessing, which also makes a reboot more closely following the manga make sense, seeing as she didn't seem to like all the changes that were made to the anime.

Man, I would totally love for it to be all awesome dark and gritty and for the senshi to flat out KILL the baddies like they did in the manga; not heal or purify or make good or any of that, like the anime writers were hellbent on doing with so many of the villains.

Oh man, and I would love to see them do Super S and Stars more like the manga, and add in all those senshi they left out! Like the Asteroid Senshi (whom the Amazoness Quartet become) and all those ones they left out of stars like Heavy Metal Papillon and the two who guard that creepy river! OH AND SAILOR COSMOS!

Gaaaah so much potential! I can't wait!
