    Loose Tea

Any fans of loose tea around here? About a year or two ago, I went through a serious loose tea craze after visiting a great cafe, so now I have a small collection of delicious loose teas, and a cute teapot to brew them in. I have chocolate curry masala, samurai chai mate, white apple tea, youthberry orange, and a few others. Most are from Teavana, but I do find others about.

What about you? Or do you like teabags all over your face?

As soon as I read the thread title, I imagined a world full of anthropomorphic drinks with one particular cup of tea wearing a miniskirt and offering her "services" to strangers.

I've never tried loose tea! Samurai Chai sounds good, though. I'll take chai in any form.

I'll do whatever, but my favorite tea is Mad Tea Party Blend from Disneyland, which I buy loose. I put it in my Mickey Mouse tea ball and it is lovely. It's a black tea, with peach and apricot and ginger. Other than that, I usually just grab a bag of green tea. It's A Grind has a green tea latte I love, but for some reason it gets me really wired.

Tea bags all over my face. I'll have loose tea if it's offered to me though.

I've never been particularly discriminatory, but I do tend to find loose tea better tasting than bagged. My favourite tea is a long cut rooibos.

All we drink here is loose tea, whether in hot or cold variety.

However, we just buy like Earl Grey, White Earl Grey, and Rose tea. Nothing fancy.

I think the fact that Rye drinks it should pretty much answer that question for you.

Tea leaves that don't come in a bag. You put them in a tiny ball-shaped object with holes in the bottom, and you stick that in your water. I don't know if it makes the tea taste any better.

Giving the leaves more room to float around is supposed to let them steep better.

If I buy teabags and just like, cut that trout open, does it suddenly become loose tea?
