Stumbled!
damn you mog i just wanna use water rondo and snowman jazz
also being lazy with FFVI advance and not getting water rondo from the lethe river is the best part of the remake.

I've come to appreciate Mog more after understanding he was meant to be the Geomancer for this installment. That said, I still don't use him, lol.
He's also the game's dragoon if you build him properly.
True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
If you get him to use the dance of the scenery you are currently in (eg, make him to Wind Rhapsody on the world map plains) he wont stumble.
Unfortunate that he's the last instance of a geomancer i can think of in ff, they were awesome. Though he did introduce the moogle pompom (which i believe was to mirror the geomancer hat pompom).
Kefka's coming, look intimidating!
Have a nice day!!
I have only bothered to get Water Rondo once in the original version. I never got it again, even in the Advance version, out of spite.
I always rigged up Edgar to be the dragoon and made Mog a mage.
Edgar made more sense as my dragoon because I actually used him.
Mog is actually a better Dragoon if only because he's one of the 3 characters in the game that can use the game's best (Def. Stat wise) armor in the game, the Snow Muffler, which makes him pretty much impervious to Physical damage. Edgar is a Swiss army knife character and definetly one of the best, but he kind of gets outclassed by other characters in terms of versatility and munchkin builds though he is still top tier.
Originally Aerith was meant to be a Geomancer but that got scrapped in the early stages of VII's development. It may have disappeared in the main numbered entries but FFTactics, TA2, and it looks like XI finally have been using the class from time to time.

- Stealin 'dat Geomancer materia after the slums.
- Obsessively levelin' it.
- Finding weird spells that kill the Midgar Zolom right off the bat.
- Oh lord I have Beta this ballin'
BEST DISC ONE EVER. Ah well.
I never wanted to separate Edgar and Sabin because they were the two coolest characters in a row to get in any single FF game without that lame FFIV profanity inducing Twin Magic. Each dude can just steamroll damn near anything and they are cheap as all hell until the literal end of the game. First time through Kefka's Tower we only had Edgar, Locke, Sabin, and Gau really leveled up; All the girls sat in the back at less than level thirty with no magic and we used Gogo and Cyan once in a while. Actually getting to Kefka with such godawful characters and spamming Super Balls as our main damage source to kill the Guardian and Doom, we sat awake at 5:30 AM wondering why we had to just put everyone in a select order.
Holy mother of god, that was horrifying. We barely squeezed past the bottom floor of the first of four bosses. Nobody knew how high that tower went or what was happening. Locke had to get replaced and there goes the Genji Glove and Offering. We got few Tack Stars though so Shadow could do somethin! Second floor was game over.
I just went off on a tangent, but c'mon now. That was rad.

Kinda sorta. I figured you'd just have x amount of points to get while fighting in a certain background i.e woods/cave/industrial etc and get randomly cast spells based on the materia level.
