    Default Class Struggle

    So far we've had multiple Fighters (Firion, Cloud, Squall, Tidus, Lightning), a thief (Zidane), a blackmage-esque (Terra), and a dark knight/paladin (cecil) class main character.
    But there are many classes who've yet to have a chance in the spotlight

    Assuming an FF without a some sort of guided class system (Ie classes may be alterable but its quite clear what everyone is meant to be, like in FFX), what class would you like the next main character of FF to be?

    I still think Geomancer should have a chance to shine, or maybe Whitemage can break free from it's stereotypical second female main lead role and get the main lead for a change.

    Also discuss how Strange it is that the second main character class they forced (Dark Knight) seems to be the least prominent for the rest of the series

    Blue Mage. Make them the main character so people learn to appreciate them.

    Hell, any mage. Mage them feeble and need guardians but smurfing powerful mages.

    More black mages, because they're my favorite class.

    Other good ideas: ninja, pirate, archer/ranger. And maybe even an underused class like bard.

    If they made the main character a Blue Mage, I would not play that game for that very reason.

    Blue Mage, cause it is one of my favorite classes and could be pretty awesome incorporating his acquisition of spells in the story. Especially if they make the Blue Mage story like how they are portrayed in FFXI.
