What type of rules did you play? I was lame, I played the easy rules to make sure I wouldn't lose. Same? Difference? smurf that bulltrout. I'm going easy mode all the way.

I could deal with Same and Difference, Elemental and all that jazz. The one rule I could not smurfing deal with was Random, though. I'd get smurfed every time.
Anything but Random
Kefka's coming, look intimidating!
Have a nice day!!
I wish YuGiOh was actually about Triple Triad.
Anything but random. The others are fun!
The only time I ever put much effort into playing it, I'd always end up with Random. I eventually thought that this was actually what the game was meant to be like, so stopped playing it from then on, even in these enlightened times.
(SPOILER)Tetra Master 4 lief
there was a picture here
Same/Plus/Same Wall/Plus Wall(shut up it was in TTX) and Open were all required rules to play a ranked match back when I was thirteen and played competitively.
Anything but Plus. Oh my god, the Plus rule. Random didn't cause me any problems because of Card Mod.
I only played a minimal amount of Triple Triad. I think a lot of the rules were unbecoming to new players, but I remember having trouble with the Random rule and the way that the rules spread from region to region. Random puts only the player at a serious disadvantage as I doubt every opponent has an extensive deck like the player can have.
I believe in the power of humanity.
Random would be fine if you were able to discard cards from your deck. I always found that I had stuff like Blobra which you needed 5 of to refine away and you were forced to use such crappy cards.
