Honestly, I was never quite as surprised as I pretended to be, or at least, not for the reasons I pretended to be. I think the first time the notion came up I was a bit surprised because I didn't think I was nearly as prominent in the forums as some other members. I also just never really aspired to be a CK before either so the suggestion that I would make a good one seemed to come out of left field so to speak as I didn't realize other people felt that way.

Do I feel that way now though? Not really actually. If this contest has made me realize anything it's that I'm pretty active in the forums, I not only joined the census committee and took the lead there on occasion, but have also tried to take run my own events in the past (and learned a great deal about what is and isn't going to work there). I'm pretty active in the blogs (when I'm not spending all my time busting my ass in a CK competition), and I care more about FF than I thought I still did. But perhaps more importantly, I care a hell of a lot about this site.

Thanks a lot guys. Because of your little competition here I not only understand why people keep thinking I'd make a good CK, I actually think I want it now.
