I went to court the other day and met some more interesting people. Including this one severely physically disabled man (he can barely walk with crutches and talks only slowly) who allegedly "stole" a laptop from the special needs home he was kept at (and unable to leave from) by hiding it in his room. The judge, another character, gave a brilliant lecture to the State's Attorney about how he was "perplexed" about why this case was even brought, and then proceeded to find him guilty but to give no punishment.
