621 yards for the 49ers. 303 for Smith and 318 for the run game. First team in history to have 300 on both the ground and in the air. That is just incredible to me.
Also Broncos/NE meh.
Yeah, though SF were playing Buffalo.

apparently I get these games so smurf yeah I can finally get into the nfl. watching San Diego vs New Orleans (maybe?) right now.
The Buffalo defense is really bad. They gave up 40+ points to Mark Sanchez, of all people. Apparently money can't buy everything.
Excellent! Drew Brees for New Orleans is one of the most exciting quarterbacks in the league. I think he threw for something like 4 TDs that game.
I don't think the fact that they were playing against a horrible defense lessens the accomplishment that much.
Oh, I wasn't trying to imply that it did, especially for the 49ers running game. There have been a lot of terrible defenses over the years, and still no team managed that feat. That was just a commentary on the sad state of Buffalo this year.
That was more directed at Charliepanayi than you, but both works. Buffalo is a really bad team, and has been for quite a bit of time, but I'm really impressed with the turnaround that the 49ers have had since Harbaugh took over at head coach.
Yeah, I agree. I have a soft spot for the 9ers because I grew up as fans of Jerry Rice and Steve Young, so I love to see them doing well. I'm still skeptical of how far they can go with Alex Smith at the helm, but the rest of that team is a powerhouse.
I had really high hopes for the Bills. My boss earlier in the summer asked me who I thought was going to be a dark horse team and I picked the Bills. Guess I was wrong n that one. Although they may get their D together and play spoiler later in the season.
The comment was meant in jest somewhat, I'm just poking fun at Buffalo's continued ineptitude. Obviously SF are in good form at the moment.

Watched my first game of NFL in an American bar tonight. So much more entertaining when you can watch a game with a room full of people who are also interested (no one watches it in Australia except me and my friends). It helped that there was a die hard Texans fan running around the bar giving people hi-fives.
Can't even imagine how good it's going to be to see my first live game next week!
Brees threw some pretty smurfing great passes in that game. I was incredibly surprised to see them get back in the game though, really. They looked completely out at the half, unable to get any conversions but then the pendulum swung and it was SD who couldn't do a goddamn thing right.
I love how into American football you are, Philip.
