i need with a good materia set up for my party

please help me with a good materia setup for my party

I don't remember what materia slots they have. I suggest adding Restore to one of them first, and comboing it with an All materia. Then go around adding the command materias, because they often give you easy stat bonuses. Then add somethings like MP Plus and Cover, before filling any gaps with elemental spells and summons you think could be useful.

Cid
Weapon: Morph | Luck Plus | MP Plus | Steal | Chocobo Lure | Enemy Skill | Cover | Sense
Armor: Time = All | Elemental = Lightning

Set up to be very lucky. Will hopefully steal very often, and also has a better chance of successfully morphing I believe. Enemy Skill materia combined with MP Plus will allow you to use Enemy Skills often. Time + All for haste, at least until you get Big Guard, then use that. He's also going to be gaining energy from any Lightning attacks used against him.

Barret
Weapon:
Armor: Counter Attack = Deathblow | Throw = Manipulate

I'm not sure if this is the Counter Attack materia that activates its linked materia. If it is, then Deathblow should activate every time he's attacked (or at least often) which should deal some pretty good damage. Barret is obviously set up to just deal the maximum physical damage. Manipulate and Throw give him more versatility if Physical attacks aren't going to cut it without lowering his stats.

Vincent
Weapon: Added Effect = Choco/Mog | Restore = All
Armor: Revive = Comet | Earth = Fire | Ice = Poison

Vincent's physical attacks will hopefully stop the enemy, making him pretty handy in a scrap. He's also your medic, able to cure all party members as well as revive anyone fallen. He also is your black mage with a variety of spells to cover most elemental weaknesses, plus the every useful Poison and the powerful (sometimes) Comet.

If you want to switch Cait Sith, then I suggest Vincent. Ranged members are going to be useful! It also means you can keep the same equipment on him as before

Before I can continue though, I will need the materia slots on each equipment! I'm not up to speed on the ins and outs of such items!

Cloud:

Weapon: Morph | Luck Plus | MP Plus | Steal | Chocobo Lure | Enemy Skill
Armour: Time = All | Elemental = Lightning | HP Plus = Sense

Set up just like Cid was previously. Enemy Skill will be your best form of damage, although Cloud is rather powerful physically!

Vincent

Weapon: Added Effect = Choco/Mog | Restore = All
Armour: Revive = Comet | Earth = Fire | Ice = Poison

Exactly the same as Vincent previously. He's your mage, and physical attacks with stopping power

Cid:

Weapon: Double Cut = HP Plus | HP Plus = Cover
Armour: Counter Attack = Deathblow | Throw = Manipulate

Designed to be a physical attack like Barret, but will also serve as your meatshield. Two HP Plus materia plus Cover will make sure he's taking the hard hits and has the health to back it up.
