Have you read Shogun? Many of those samurais were dishonorable dicks! It depends on what portrayal of ninjas and samurais we're going with here.

Ninjas are little pussy bitches who are too chickentrout to get into an open fight because they know they'd lose. When I played Tenchu and Assassin's Creed I marched around openly getting into fights with everyone because I have honour. That or low patience. Where's the fun in hiding behind a wall for 5 minutes while you wait for a guy to leave when you can stroll up to him and duel him to the death?
