A forum inside a forum? Paradoxical!

So this place is collectively known as the Forum.

I thought about this while reading BoBs tasks for the poster giveaway, the first task always being "Post in the Final Fantasy forum", "Post in the Final Fantasy 8 forum", "Post in the Final Fantasy 14 forum". Etc etc.

So i'm posting in a forum inside of a forum? Doesn't it seem like there should be some sort of name differentiation?

The forums have forums, which some in turn have sub-forums, which have threads, which have topics....

"The website is known as the forums because there are forums inside of it" is an acceptable answer. I still enjoyed pointing it out.

The Forum is the collective group. Fora are the individual "sections" (not to be confused with actual sections like General, Staff, etc).
