The only good music written in the 80s was performed by Ozzy
The 90s was filled with good music. (Yeah, there was a lot of dreck, but there was also Brother Cane, Alice In Chains, Collective Soul, The Goo Goo Dolls, STP, etc.)

I thought of another one.
Purely electronic music has more soul in it than any other kind of music.
I love contemporary artistic music, with Penderecki and Igor Stravinski being some of my favorite composers.
Basically what people normally call "classical" music (classical actually only refers to the classical period, but whatever) is the only thing I listen to besides VGM.
I also think Lady Gaga has some obscure hidden goal behind her activity as a musician.
Very unpatriotically, I do not love Chopin. I do not hate him, 'casue I can tell he was a genius, but I just don't think the hype is deserved.
FYNN I LOVE YOU FOR THIS. <3 When people say they "love classical musical" most the time it really ISN'T referring to that. Or they say "modern day classical." It drives me up the waaaall, but I can't be arsed to correct people on this matter.
You better tell your fiancee someone just snatched you up mwahahaha.
I thought that 'Are You Normal' thread was full of the biggest pile of trout until I came to this one. Holy Glorious smurf people, have words with yourselves.
>goes to unpopular musical opinion thread
>is shocked when an unpopular musical opinion is read
C'mon, man. It's Nickelback.
edit: Also a lot of these are claims that something is a fact, usually completely ignoring context. Opinions are whatever but some of these are just ridiculous. But then again that's what I get for expecting a serious discussion about art on the web. Also, ignoring what I just said about broad generalizations, everything about Nickelback ever is bad and awful.
I'll give you this Shorty, 'Hott Fuss' from the killers was an awesome Album. Past that? They just stopped trying really.
And I counter Bleys with this, Motorhead was around in the 80's too. As was Dio
1) Asside, from Paint it Black and Symphony for the Devil, I don't really like Rolling Stones.
2) Not sure if this is unpopular or not, but Ozzy Solo is better then Sabbath.
3) I really don't like Animal Collective.
