The Sound of Music is hugely overrated and it has a Bi-polar plot that goes from silly and fun and then down right smurfing serious at times and can't make it's mind up what to be.

I'm of the opinion that The King's Speech was utter trite, a two hour long cliché.
The Social Network was an incredible cinematic achievement, though that's not really an unpopular opinion, I guess. It's one of the few movies from recent years that I've sat down and watched twice.
The last Lord of the Rings movie is a total borefest and the second isn't worth watching more than once or twice either. Only real good movie in the series is the first.
