I don't have much to talk about as I've only been here for like... a year or so.
Regardless, I will give it my best bet.
I remember looking up something FF12 related and, to my misfortune, I stumbled upon this site.

I joined as trollhunter soon after, a name I've come to use for nearly everything, and I was immediately surprised at the warm welcome I received. See, I was forum-hopping for a while before I found this place and I kept pissing people off or just getting bored (usually due to communities being far too large, the rules being far too strict, the members having no sense of humor, etc.). This place amazed me because there were people that actually seemed to have more than half a brain and weren't pretentious assholes. In time I discovered that all of these people actually indeed were pretentious assholes, but I stayed nonetheless.

I talked a lot with demondude, hypo, and Jiro though my habit of never replying to messages eventually put an end to that.
I've posted some stupid stuff in my time, but I'm not done yet. There will be quite a few more butt-clenchingly moronic posts from me to come.

I had been posting again regularly for a while, and entertained myself not uncommonly by giving the staff a hard time in the Feedback forum, which I fashioned as my own little kingdom.

So that's why I found so much infrastructure. I'm currently the Duke of Private Feedback though so I suppose that's a subsidiary on your larger Kingdom.

Also TrollHunter I dunno how you ever offended people, you're a damn cool guy.

So allow me to summarise;

+ you're not worth trout if you joined after 2002
+ dropping names of people who regularly stroke your ego in threads like this is very important if you want to them to continue to do so
+ many of you would have died virgins had it not been for here
+ getting banned or acting out to the point where you're scoulded at is an important right of passage here and more likely to get you remembered, especially if you return after the ban like you're Captain Hilts in the Great Escape
+ Everyone is embarassed by the way they used to behave despite being literally the same smurfing people but more cynical
+ Leaving & then coming back again to post a few months later is a matter of biblical importance
+ Livejournal allowed the whiney nerd flap inside all of you to vent, express the inner you & ultimately blossom into the disfunctional turd smurfs that you all are today.
+ and i'm the only male here that Rye hasn't bounced on.

I'm quite tame on these forums due to me not having to call anyone out on their BS (others do it for me )
On forums with either
A) A massive community of self-absorbed 12-14 year olds
B) A list of rules longer than the freaking bible (this includes hilariously dedicated admins who deliver justice like their the judge dredd of the internet for their own sexual pleasures)
C) A community plagued by morons who think they're absolute geniuses and every thread is a circle-jerk about their greatness.

This forum is actually surprisingly very tame in these 3 aspects (not so sure on C though), but for the forums that go off the deep-end I go hardcore troll and go out of my way to not only see how quickly I can get banned, but to also see how much hatemail I can acquire as well.

I haven't had to do so here yet, and I'm also afraid to because I'm sure more than a few people here would stalk me and sacrifice me to some obscure cult.
