well assuming I'm sleeping fully clothed, with my boots on. I'd then grab my ipod... what would the end of the world be without music? kidding, probably something functionally useful... like the ready bag for all emergencies I have near my bed, the bag contains a first aid kit, id and clothing. It doesn't have a weapon in it but this is also known as my weekend away/holiday bag. But it does have a swiss army knife as part of the first aid kit. I could fashion a weapon with that such as a rudimentary spear by sharpening a stick.
