I have never understood why people feel the need to attack the artist, instead of the music. What has Bieber ever done to anyone? He's as harmless as can be. His music is a donkey serenade, though.

I disagree. Like Shlup, I rarely see anyone with a negative word about Psy. And even though Gangnam Style has a lot of dislikes, the like/dislike ratio is still very high.
Everyone watch that video several times so that Bieber never takes the top again!

I was totally part of the "OMG WE NEED TO BEAT BIEBER" crowd and told everyone I knew to watch Gangnam Style for that reason alone.
I feel kind of lame about it in retrospect.

I do think people rail him on abit too much (much the same with the internet railing against Nickelback) but in my opinion his music is trout and I think he dresses like a muppet pretty much everytime he's out in public. Also:

TBH I think he's a Lindsey Lohan style trainwreck waiting to happen. Being manufactured that young and flung as high as he's gone - feel sorry for him when that bubble bursts because that's a one way trip to China town.

To be honest, I never understood why everyone turned on Lindsey either, what she did was pretty minor, and the kind of thing that shows her own flaws rather than an excuse to hate her. Despite this, unlike Justin, I have absolutely no idea what Lindsey did that made her famous.
