ok so I would probably really like this if the version I have weren't so smurfing clipped. I declipped it but the dynamics are still pretty poor for folk music (DR9)

is there a version of this circulating the nets that actually has decent dynamic range and isn't filled with horrible digital distortion even on acoustic guitar tracks? i'm fine with lo-fi (I have over 1,000 Pavement plays and at least 80 plays of every song on Ulver's Nattens Madrigal as two examples) but digital distortion pisses me off even if it's intentional

I don't think I've ever listened to the whole album but there are 2 or 3 songs that are probably going to be among my favourites for the rest of my life (even as other favourites are forgotten).

Necronopticous played it in his car when me and he went to Six Flags together. Only got to hear a few tracks.

I should probably go ahead and download it sit down and listen to the whole thing one of these days, to see why it's hailed as the greatest album ever by so many people on the internet.
