    this requires a preamble

when i was 13 and very sick i couldn't sleep in the morning of one sunday. i got up at 5, made myself tea, and turned my eye to the sci-fi channel SPACE. it was my fave channel, but i was still scared of a lot of the stuff there. over the last while on SPACE, while watching Sliders ( Sliders extended intro.wmv - YouTube ) or whatever, i remember seeing advertisements for a mini series Gormenghast, and i thought it looked cool but kind of scary

of course, what was on TV but the very mini series? i managed to watch half an hour of it, not knowing wtf was going on. but it left an impression on my young mind, it sure did.

anyway, it's gothically wonderful, and i rediscovered it last week as the word flashed thanks to my weird-ass selective memories. i looked it up on youtube and found the entire series uploaded, with a few scenes cut to fit within the 10 minute mark. nothing terribly important is missing, and i watched the entire thing in a day. some of the finest acting i've seen in a long time.

now im sharing it with you

edit: really i could write a bunch of posts about the stuff playing on SPACE ten years ago

I remember watching that, Dot Cotton was in it. Its amazing Rep for you!
You hold my heart in your manly hands I wanna feel the throb of your handsome gland. I wanna hold you tight like a newborn kitten, against my flesh like a cashmere mitten. Tickly tick, I'm makin' skin bump heaven and all the way down it's lookin' cleanly shaven. Prickety pricks, it's stubble on stubble I better slow down or I'm in real trouble. Want you, touch you, feel you, taste you! Knick knack whacky whack 'till I see the man stew. spin you around let me see that hole! I'm a tunnelin' in a like a short hair mole. Once I'm inside I'm gonna leave a trace, half in there and half on that face! One finger, two finger, there fingers gone! Mano a mano I love you John!

I still have some of my slap bracelets and a handful of pogs (and slammers).

Starting on my left with one, your number comes up, you go.

Everything in this thread so far.

    Let's not forget R.L. Stine's Goosebumps series.

Apparently, I have been declared banished.
