I asked for a Gameboy Color one year and my brother got it instead. PS2 a couple years later. Brother got it. 360 after that. Brother got it.

My parents did good for me. I remember I wanted a PS2 for Christmas. 2000, no luck. 2001? Nein. 2002? smurf yeah.
Although I would kill for a trip. I've asked for maybe a short trip or excursion for Christmas a few times and never got one, so maybe this year I'll get one.

i think i wanted a genesis once but didn't get it (though i may not have specifically asked for it)
snes infinitely better anyway
i also didn't get an n64 until like 2 years after it was released wtf (this is a very big part in why i appreciate the snes as much as I do)
I think I got pokemon the same year I got the n64 though ok i'm never complaining about christmas again
