Like previously stated, however, looks nothing like a Metal Gear Solid game. All the reasons people are assuming it's connected to MGS seem a little too coincidental not to have merit, I must admit. Also, was that a whale on fire at the end of the trailer? O__o
Worst case scenario I can see happening is Kojima and friends coming out and saying "Oh this was a game we were working on but scrapped and thought it would just be fun to troll you with it, lol!" like they did with that nightmare game in MGS3.
New trailer; MGSV = the Phantom Pain = Ground Zeroes. Or something.
At the very least, I dig the trailer. Hurray for surrealism in videogames! Bring me giant fire whales and crazy unicorn horseriders! The music fitted perfectly too. Gotten me a bit more excited for whatever craziness they're cooking up.
It would be funny if they put an eye patch over the arm stump. You know Kojima would do it and release a five page essay on the reason he made a design choice like that and what it symbolizes.
I was one of the many people who were hoping that the game would actually come out as The Phantom Pain by Moby Dick Games and then 1/3 of the way through the main story, the Metal Gear Solid 5 logo comes up.
I stand by what I said. It doesn't look like an MGS game and it looks smurfing nuts! Either way, interesting smurfing direction they're taking the series in, I like it.
I'm still confused about the whole situation with Kojima calling Ground Zeroes a "prologue," Konami confirming they're two separate games, and footage from both being in the latest trailer.
