Ever since first seeing this category, I've been impressed by the creativity and originality of it. Most Likely to be Loyal to a Fault? What a delightfully interesting and novel thing to be! Well then, let's go ahead and take a look at the contenders:
- San Andreas Fault: One of the most well-known faults in North America, if not the most well known fault, so this one is sure to inspire all sorts of loyalty in people. This fault is a whopping 810 miles long and also has a video game named after it, which involves cars and things. This fault was discovered in 1895 so it's certainly been around for a while. One to watch, for sure.
- North Anatolian Fault: This is a major fault located just south of Istanbul (not Constantinople.) It is responsible for several major earthquakes in Turkey, which is certain to inspire loyalty in anyone interested in removing kebab, which is... just about everyone. Certainly a major contender!
- Chixoy-Polochic Fault: This fault runs along a nice scenic area in Central America, so fans of nature and picture-perfect landscapes are sure to be fans of this fault zone. Don't be fooled by its docile nature, though... in terms of fault loyalty, this one may end up being a sleeper hit!
- Japan Median Tectonic Line: This fault runs through almost the entire country of Japan, which is pretty impressive. Its loyal fans are sure to be similarly loyal fans of things like Japanese RPGs, animu, and mango, which comprises most of the memberbase of this forum. The name may be kind of boring, but you won't want to overlook this strong contender!
- Wellington Fault: Running through the southern part of the North Island of New Zealand, the Wellington Fault is having its time in the sun currently thanks to hype from the upcoming Hobbit movie. Several nerds of the fantasy-book persuasion are sure to pledge their loyalty to this strike-slip fault, so this is certainly a contender to keep an eye on.
Which of these faults is going to inspire the most loyalty? And who is going to be the most loyal? All these questions AND MORE are sure to be answered by... oh... hold up here a minute. You mean THAT kind of fault. Oh. ...Award Guy, how about you take it from here?
