I love Firefly.
"... and so I close, realizing that perhaps the ending has not yet been written."
Given the huge cult following it seems to possess now, surely 10 years on networks will smell the coffee and take it up for a reboot?
I think it's best to let sleeping dogs lie with this one.
I'd still like to see a reboot, but I dunno if it'll happen

If I'm not mistaken, Fox owns the rights to the show and will not sell it to other companies for whatever reason. In addition, all of the actors, as well as Whedon, are busy doing their own things and so it would be difficult to get them all together again. I think the best thing people can hope for is continued cast reunions.
On a side note, Whedon filmed a version of Much Ado About Nothing which has almost everyone in Firefly in various parts. So there is that.
"Sir, I think you have a problem with your brain being missing"
I only got into Firefly when I was in hospital earlier this year. It is staggering the lack of foresight Fox had with this show. It's a shame it didn't have a bit more luck.
I remember Red Dwarf had even worse viewing figures for it's first series than Firefly and was likely to be cancelled. It just got lucky. Some executive at the BBC was leaving and thought to himself "What's the biggest pile of crap I can sanction to make the next guy's job even worse?" He actually commisioned a second series of Red Dwarf before the first series had even aired.
If only they ran a similar ship over at FOX as they did at the BBC...
Don't fret, Bubba. I'm sure there are plenty of paedophiles at Fox, as well.
Now then, now then, now then, Quin...
Good show and movie. been too long since I've seen it know remember any quotes.

I hate the film for that very reason, Shlup.
I hate the movie because of a painful crime that was committed near the very end of the film
