A still shot showing producer Yoshinori Kitase checking out the title menu of Lightning Returns has popped up. It's a pretty simple, like the rest of the series: just the title and logo followed by some options. It's exciting to see signs of actual work though. This won't turn out like Versus XIII!

More information on Lightning Returns will be surfacing soon, with a trailer set to debut on December 22 and the game included in Square Enix's Jump Fiesta lineup. I'm looking forward to seeing more from this one.

Am I the only one that looked at the ceiling and thought, "Wow, that room is HUGE"?

Also, looking good. I like the design for the new logo, the steel color is something new compared to the usual red/purple/blue colors they've used lately, and the crystal is interesting of course, as always.

A blog for FFXIV:ARR development recently posted a picture of the development floor; the area is this wide open maze of cubicles. It's stunningly enormous.

Upon seeing that photo, the first thing I thought was "Why are so many games that are designed on PCs not ever released for play on PCs?"

My second thought was "Oh yeah, that's right, because consoles are where the sales numbers are at."

My third thought was "YAY SIGNS OF DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRESS EXCITEMENT!"

My final thought was "Hey, that's a pretty spiffy title screen."
