This thread will be as good a place as any to let you all know that my "brief history of..." series is going to be a bi weekly article once the start of the year rolls around! So look forward to that.

Postponing this for a bit. My desktop decided it doesn't want to work. At the moment the only computer I have at my disposal is a laptop that likes to randomly shut off by itself frequently, and I can't be arsed to work on an article that has to be saved every 30 seconds "just in case".
