It's only really annoying because it disrupts the consistency of where thread titles begin etc - keep in mind that when browsing through thread titles, it's always right in the same spot where your eyes focus, so it's not something you can really ignore. When it's in the threadicon bit it's very easy to ignore it. It's essentially something I can't avoid - it shows up on search results, in my subscribed threads, in my User CP and in the forum. I'll happily sit on it for a couple of days, though, yeah. I'm only offering constructive feedback, as I like the icon itself being able to be used for threads.
Don't bother with a prefix, just the posticon. Problem solved.I assume that the reason he combined Quina and the prefix is to make it simpler for folks who want to utilize it instead of having to first select the prefix and then find quina in the posticon.I kinda feel that prefixes are only suitable for the creative forums because every one of the threads in that forum is clearly one type of creativity or another, while GC is for... well, general chat.
I don't want a food subforum either, it would be a bit overkill. I don't think I'd want to browse a forum full of food threads, but I do enjoy reading the odd one in GC, so having it all mixed together is fine.If we create a subforum for food, GC will essentially die.
