I'm in the superior-to-everyone clique. We are discriminating compared to most other EoFF cliques in that we actually have standards.

EoFF was fairly cliquey a loooong time ago. I never saw actual rudeness or willful exclusion of newbies (though some thoughtless exclusion in hindsight), but I was told by some contemporary newbies that they felt it was difficult to fit in at times with the more established members. EoFF has long since grown out of that, probably because the average age of posters has jumped something like 5-6 years or more. Hell, despite having a reputation as one of the more oldbie-favoring, elitist members, I can't even think of an EoFF clique that I'm a part of.

Interestingly, despite the relative lack of newbies in recent years, it seems far easier nowadays for newbies to become established.

I should probably enter #eoff from time to time, but everyone seems to know everyone, so I don't feel I can join in as much. I mean, everyone calls each other by name half the time! I don't know whos' who.
