Thread: Pete's paintings thread!

ooooo I like the yellow orange and green accents in that one. The border is darker and the green gives it a more calming feel to go with that darker and then BAM yellow and a little bit of orange. It really pulls the eye, that and the line work/shapes, to the yellow. Like if I cover the yellow with my hand the pictures likes nice and calming but with the extra color and lighting it gives the image more depth. It looks more like it's a fire in a fire-less world!

    Good stuff!

Sorry if that's more in depth than normal, it just really resonated with me haha

This picture actually made me feel really uneasy. The uncertainty of the tower in the background covered in mist and the other grim surroundings. At first, the yellow and orange colours in the centre seem inviting, a little respite in a world of darkness. The more I look at them though, the more I seem to distrust it as a haven. It's like there is nowhere safe here. Very reminiscent of Dark Souls!

Your pictures invoke so much emotion Pete. Fantastic stuff, really great.

Pete, you're a really great artist. Don't break those wrists snow boarding!

Someday I'll be successful and buy some art from you. Dark souls art obviously.

Gorgeous art as always! I hope one day I can make art even half as beautiful as yours!

I like that it's more in depth than normal! I am really glad you like the piece and that it resonated ;D That might be the biggest compliment you can give an artist now that I think of it : )

I still had a couple of oil paintings lying around which I was never able to take decent pictures of, but yesterday I finally got around to photographing them. Hope you enjoy : )

Lovely! I love the effect with the sky in the first one, what did you do to create that?
