I just think a lot of stagnation in the series is not due to a lack of talent (Square Enix clearly has that in abundance), but rather due to lack of perspective at the highest levels. I think it's time to let fresh eyes take a front seat with the series. Final Fantasy has a wealth of history and tradition to play off of, and I think Yoshi-P demonstrates how a fresh pair of eyes can really build something new and wonderful out of familiar materials.
