One of my favorite summons! I recently bought a book on mythology because there was a story about Odin in it. I thought "I wonder if Locky will write about him soon?", so this is actually really good timing.

Sometimes when I was grinding for items in FF8 it would get a little tedious, so I was always glad whenever Odin came by to end those battles instantly. I also like how even though he was a side quest GF, they incorporated him into the story (Seifer battle as you mentioned) if you took the time to get him.

I really like the way you ask other forum members opinions on the summon, I think it adds to the piece and gives a fresh perspective! If I didn't feel like I was ripping you off I would try to incorporate something like that myself

Odin as a character is great. Not a fan of his function in most of the games, though. Instant death is lame, randomness is lame, and these two things are the essence of Odin throughout most of the Final Fantasy universe.
