Watchmen is fantastic and I have a soft spot for The Crow.

The films I've seen that are based on comics aren't necessarily underrated. My favorites like Sin City, 300 (speaking of holy trout SEQUELS FOR BOTH THIS AND SIN CITY), V for Vendetta and Scott Pilgrim are all pretty prominent and popular.
