That rant is pretty powerful and got me really hyped to dive into the game as I wrapped up my 83 hour playthrough of Oblivion.

It's pretty tight so far. It actually reminds me of playing Shadowrun on the Genesis, which is a cool feeling. I've still mostly hung around Balmora so I've only begun to dig in my surface-scratching nail, but I'm liking it so far.

No it's for toaster and dishwasher too.

It's for the original XBox and PC. The XBox version has some of the longest load times known to man, and has no mods, so the PC is the better choice.

Yeah, I would argue that some of the mods are near-essential. Granted, I would never say that vanilla Morrowind isn't playable, as it most certainly still is, but there are definitely one or two mods that I just wouldn't want to live without.

Of course, I want the Xbox version anyway because I want to add it to my collection.

    Which ones are those?

I tried running the Overhaul, but I had a lot of problems with it. I'm going to mod it piecemeal instead since that's what I did with Oblivion and I know what I want from this game. In the meantime, I'm playing it vanilla on a family computer and have mostly grown past its clunkiness.

For me I would say Morrowind Code Patch ( Morrowind Code Patch at Morrowind Nexus - Morrowind mods and community ) at a minimum, and if it was me I'd go with a Better Bodies/Heads/Sounds mod as well (came included with Morrowind Overhaul but you can install them independently as well.)

I like this game because I give myself boots with nearly infinite levitation and I just fly around the map. I do this in first person because third person is not as magical as Peter Pan and Superman led me to believe.
