This generation of consoles is what caused me to ultimately come out of it as a PC gamer. I agree with you completely, Aulayna. The Playstation 3 could have been a much better console if it had kept the backwards compatibility. I, too, have strayed from purchasing as many console games as I once did — mostly because of the lack of traditional role-playing games — but also because of the lack of backwards compatibility and the rise of Playstation 2 emulation. Why should I play one of my old games on a Playstation 2 when I can get better graphics and access to save states on my computer?
