    Cait Sith's slots limit break would be pretty difficult to figure out how to get it to work, unless you would just have the various effects be their own specials. Getting it to be truly random would be pretty funny, though. Vincent's limit break would also be kind of cool to figure out what to do with. Have them all be one shot transformation/moves? Or have it like in the game where he's like that for the rest of the round and gets an entirely new but small moveset for each different limit.

    I also think Barrett would be a cool character to mess around with, make him kind of like Gen from street fighter in that he gets a different moveset where one of his specials switches him between his long range weapons and his melee weapons. Make him a switchup character. although I should say I'm not suggesting we actually attempt any of this because it would be hard as a mothersmurfer, rather just thinking about what would be sweet in a proper FFVII 2D fighter.

    Adding in a lot of characters or backdrops wouldn't be super hard as long as I fix up a decent engine. It's Dr. Assenov the majority of the burden falls on with that, but of course neither of us are obligated to put more work into it than we feel like.

    Advent Children characters are all very well and good, but who would honestly rather play as Yazoo than, say, The God Damn Chocobo Sage?

    I am also liking all the suggestions about character limit breaks, moves/combos, etc.

    @ Rantz, I found a fighting game engine thanks to one of previous posts here by Roogle. It's called MUGEN: Infinity Mugen Team

    I haven't looked into it all that heavily yet, as I am still just trying to hammer away at this drawing, XD

    My hubby was so excited by this idea of making an FF fighting game that he is making me learn C++. I don't know how far I'll end up going, but this seems pretty fun so far

    Of course the Gold Chocobo should be unlockable in battle because every fighting game has a beast or animal. Also the Black Guy with Afro in the fighting square.........That bastard. And you know how you can change costumes? To make it simple, have one character called Turk and when you change the costumes, it really changes the appearance so that there are different Turks.

    No time for "Dilly-Dallying" or "Shilly-Shallying."

    This is shaping up to look pretty cool. I know some guys in japan did something similar to this with the Tales series, to say nothing of Super Smash Flash.

    Palmer would be a great joke character. A Dan Hibiki of sorts.
