Aside from having comfortable temperatures and generally dry weather, you've also got my Birthday, Thanksgiving, and Halloween all within those two months.

Spring is balls because it's too damn wet, Summer is too damn hot and muggy, and Winter can get too smurfing cold, I hate shoveling snow, and I can be shoveling that snow for as long as six months. I really wish I was joking about that last one. Well, that and the temperature extremes. I don't mind the cold too much, but I've had plenty of days where it was below -40 with the wind chill, and more than my fair share of days that cold without wind chill. Hell, the difference between the coldest days I've experienced here in winter and the hottest in summer, factoring in wind chill, humidity, etc. is about 90-95 degrees Celsius at least. I would kill a surprising number of people to simply settle for the average all year instead.
