To steal the decription from Wikipedia....

Darkplace is presented as a lost classic: a television series produced in the 1980s, though never broadcast at the time. The presentation features commentary from many of the "original" cast, where characters such as "Marenghi" and "Learner" reflect on making the show. Darkplace parodies numerous aspects of '80s low-budget television, including fashion, special effects, production gaffs, and music, as well as the widespread practice of including commentary tracks on DVD releases of old films and television shows.

It's basically a paradoy of bad 80's TV presentented as a show that was intended to be released but never was (Even though it was actually produced in teh 2000's.)

The guy who 'Wrote' this lost classic is a guy who believes his work to be a masterpiece, and was declined originally due to being to edgy and new, when in reality he was just a troutty writer.

The Humor is pretty damn messed up sometimes as well.

I've only watched up to the second episode saddly, but I think my favorite line so far is when at the end of it they decide to go to the pub for a drink.

You and me both, but then I realized there's already a thread on sherlock. Anyway, I was only able to catch the first part of the first episode and I was already quite impressed. Noticed that some of the guys from the IT crowd were in it, so I'm expected to continue watching.

Also, in the first part, that lady stopped and looked down, and a cat was just thrown to her as she knelt down to pet it. xD
