True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
I agree. I love job systems, and FFV did it the best out of the numbered series. Despite enjoying some of the later games overall, I was disappointed with many of their customization systems. It's tough to beat jobs.
Of course, FFV's job system is not as good as FFT's, but I notice you carefully worded the OP to avoid that point.
I was going to show why you are mistaken but you ended your post with a 'carry on' rather than a 'discuss'.

I agree, though I liked what TA, TA2 and Dimensions did with it.

I disagree What is wrong with you people? Personally, I think it is the best customization system ever. I find it a bit more flexible than even the job system of Tactics. Which, that system is in no way bad--I love that one too. It will just take a very long time to unlock everything. Final Fantasy V also has the almighty freelancer job, which is just amazing in the end-game. I just think this system in V is better.
I was actually thinking of playing the game again, but with a slight challenge.
Only two job changes, ever. No duplicate jobs. Changing back to freelancer counts as a job change. I'm still not sure what would be an optimal combination.
Ideally, I'd want to finish all the challenging optional bosses with this, and maybe including the bonus GBA dungeon.
