Is it true that the Cursed Ring is better than the Gauntlet?

Some people insist that the Cursed Ring has a lot more uses than the Gauntlet and is a better Relic.
I was just curious as to why they think so?
Does it have any specific uses that I have overlooked?

Not really... Its incarnations in FFIV and VII are much more useful. All the Cursed Ring does if cast Condemn on the user and it has the ability to teach Banish. It works okay with a Lich Ring since the Undead status means the character will auto-resurrect when its done but other than that, its a pretty useless Relic.

The Gauntlet kind of gets overlooked in this game, partially because if you answer differently with Banon, you won't see the relic until the end of the game. Yet its mostly because the Genji Glove is better and not difficult to obtain multiple copies of it.
