Default my journey through the ds version

now i've played ff4 before, and liked it very much
one of my faves for sure

and im having a lot of fun with this one
    enjoying the extra map system
and the math mini game is really cute and im worried i'll spend more time on it than the actual game
this is going to be my first nintendo ds game to be played on a real nintendo ds so that's part of the experience too im sure

    i like the voice acting

i think they should remake ff6 too!

    i just got the hovercraft.

I loved the DS version! My favorite remake of any game ever.

Just don't expect it to be a cake walk. The designers of this version made sure that if you tried to simply stick with strategies you used in the original, the enemies will wipe the floor with you.

well i haven't died yet, but rydia doesn't seem to be as resilient as i remember her, probably because of the whyt-switch system...
but it's really enjoyable so far. i keep using the maps to traverse the dungeons too much; i end up not enjoying the updated graphics.

Some of the old boss strategies have drastically changed. Namely, Dr. Lugae. He's extra challenging this time around.

I plan on playing through this one of these days. I just bought the complete collection on psn so I think that's gonna have to come first though.
You think a minor thing like the end of the world was gonna do me in?

I love the DS version! I got so obsessed with the mini-games too. I'd love it if they remade FF6 for 3DS like this or Bravely Default.

I liked this version of the game for the simple fact of, as other people have mentioned, they changed up the boss strategies. I also dig the increased difficulty. Even taking away all of that, it's nice to have an above average PS1 looking game for FFIV.

defeated the blue turtle fiend on my first go, got an airship, awww yiss
it was pretty stupid, i don't remember most of the game, so i figured the snakey arm guy was the boss and i'd be able to save after, but no... so i decided, after getting all the treasure from baron castle, that i didn't want to do it again, and i beat blue turtle's ass out of necessity
haste on cecil and yang and eventually stopped trying to revive the twins

anyway had a huge smile on my face flying around with the airship
dunno why but it's one of my fave things to do in ff games

Have fun with the next boss, buddy. One of the most obnoxious dungeons in the game and he's hardly a pushover.

If you are referring to the Tower of Zot, that damn dungeon was the bane of my existence as a child.

Well, before that, there's the magnetic cave and the dark elf.
