Square Enix teases new game "Murdered: Soul Suspect"

Earlier today Square Enix sent out some rather cryptic mails to members of the press. Jason Schreiner over at Kotaku.com was one such recepient. Titled "What is the hardest case to solve?" the mail included a GIF containing a very strange symbol.

It looks like part of a torn up photograph so it's possible that other members of the press or Square Enix Members have been sent different images. One cunning fan also found the following piece on Square Enix's own website:

Square Enix also teased the address Murdered.com (see: What is the hardest case to solve? ) through their social media accounts. Clicking on the bottom of the website reveals that the platforms the game is coming too are: XBOX 360, PS3 and PC - so not another mobile game for once!

People have reached out to Square Enix to ask what the deal is but so far the answer has been equally vague:

Here's what we can confirm: "Murdered: Soul Suspect" is an exciting new game from Square Enix which challenges players to solve possibly the hardest case of all.

All very cryptic. Let the speculation commence!

I heard about this a couple days ago. I'm actually really interested to see what it is. I wasn't at first, but when I saw the platforms listed at the bottom of the site, I knew it's actually a console game, and not some mobile app or music album or stupid browser game.

Hopefully it's something worth getting excited over. New IPs are so rare these days.
