I always knew you had a good taste in music not many people know the Gamblers! Gonna see them for the fourth time this April
And I love Neon Bible for the atmosphere it brings as a whole. It's like 1+1=3, all the songs supplement one another to create something more than just a collection of songs.
7/9 of mine have both artist and title on the cover, so hopefully mine aren't too hard to figure out

I've been afraid to listen to Neon Bible because my first taste of Arcade Fire was Funeral. And that album depressed me way too much. It was seriously impossible to be happy while listening to it. It was good and all but I have hardly been able to bring myself to listen to it since I first tried getting into the band.
So my question is whether Neon Bible will have the same effect and if I should give it a try.
aww, thanks, Pete! I would definitely see them again if given a chance - they put on a good show!
Some songs you might find depressing if you find Funeral depressing. I like Arcade Fire songs because a lot of the time they are about reflection, whether it's on the past and childhood (which is what all the Neighborhoods songs make me think of) or yourself and modern times, where we're going, etc. My Body Is A Cage is pretty smurfing depressing and I don't really listen to it, but others Keep The Car Running, No Cars Go and surprisingly Antichrist Television Blues are pretty upbeat I loves them.
I say give it a shot!
This was very tough. Most of this is how I feel at the moment.

Karnivool -Themata; Karnivool - Sound Awake; The Mars Volta - The Bedlam in Goliath; The Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream; Carina Round - The Disconnection; Soundgarden - Superunkown; Blind Melon - Soup; A Perfect Circle - Mer De Noms; I Mother Earth - The Quicksilver Meat Dream.
In no particular order:
For Shoeberto:
Top row: Tool - 10,000 Days, Lateralus, and Aenima respectively.
Middle row: Only one that isn't obvious is The Mars Volta - Frances the Mute
Bottom row: Also obvious.
He is a pretty big douche, to be honest xD I was tempted to put Lateralus cause if you asked me the same question about 5 years ago Tool would have occupied about 5 spots, but I haven't listened to an album start to finish in years. Maybe if they didn't take so long between releases I wouldn't get so bored of them.
i was pretty into tool about when 10k days came out, and saw them live on that tour. maynard was pretty good when i saw him but i've heard stories
It has that effect on people. I've actually listened to some of Maynard's solo stuff too. The Humbling River is quite good, but he's just so much better when he's backed by the great musicians in Tool and A Perfect Circle. Dude can sing like no one's business and should have bands that compliment that well.
And HNB, he may be a bit of a dick, but I will always love any man will hip toss someone on stage and proceed to choke him out, and continuing to sing the song being played while doing it.
