if it weren't for shakespeare we wouldn't have two of the greatest films/plays/what have you of all time (note: opinion)

1) the lion king
2) rosencrantz and guildenstern are dead

and these are both based off of the best shakespeare play, hamlet (note: opinion)

which takes place in denmark
