I have a passing familiarity with Homestuck, with a relative understanding of the characters and plot from secondhand sources, and while I have an understanding of Homestuck, I've never actually read it.

The problem people have with Homestuck is that many other fandoms have had negative experiences with the Homestuck fandom. That, and the fans explain the plot in the way that makes it seem convoluted and thus uninteresting. Also, weird porn. xD

And I had bad experiences with some Homestucks at work.

So yes, I admit that my general aversion of Homestuck is immature and somewhat childish, but it's due to immature and childish behavior from a portion of the fanbase.

You're cool though. And two of my best friends are Homestucks and are trying to get me to cosplay Eridan, which I might do because I'm a great fan despite them yet to finish Baldur's Gate II like they said they would . I don't hate Homestuck/s on principle, but I've had bad experiences with some people that has developed in me a knee-jerk reaction to it. And from what I understand, many people who share my opinion hold similar experiences.

In short, I'm a colossal dick that has let negative experiences cloud my judgement.
