MILF obviously has terrible taste in music, and his opinions in this thread are no longer valid.
I wasn't even trying to get you salty but I guess the truth hurts more than just Sarah, huh?
That is such a lie, you named two bands in a row that you know I listen to.![]()
The Who. I absolutely loved their music but come on, the 2 most talented members of the band are dead and they're charging £60 to see a show.
No.
I would say Thin Lizzy too but they retired the name as they were essentially a tribute act riding the coat tails of the name.
Helloween, divided opinion on this matter but without Kai Hansen and Michael Kiske they're an average power metal band that offers nothing ecstatic or groundbreaking to the genre compared to the monstrous band they once were.
Kai took to making a new band though where the "could have been" ideas of Helloween were put to work. Gamma Ray who are still amazing.
Anthrax and Megadeth are 2 other mentions since both are terrible terrible bands live today, sadly its the same with Metallica and now Slayer.

LET THE HAMMER FALL
Come now, Faith No More is way better with Mike Patton than it was with Chuck Mosley. Also death metal is immune to this because it's usually impossible to tell one vocalist from another. Defeated Sanity have had a different vocalist on each of their four albums and I can't tell them apart.
Everyone who said Radiohead can smurf off.
looking at you, alice in chains and sublime. for shame
however, journey has managed to do pretty well with their replacement (i can at least say this about steve perry's first replacement, steve augeri, since i saw them in concert during this period and if i hadn't known, i wouldn't have been able to tell)
No, no, Lulu was smurfing hilarious. I hope they release more albums like that!
Death Magnetic was a perfectly respectable studio effort, except for the execrable mastering. Lulu is another story though, but that's basically a Lou Reed album with Metallica as the backing band
Death Magnetic was way better than St. Anger, but it's not really good enough to make up for it.If they put out a few more as good then I may change my mind.
Haha, yeah, same here. I'll be 28 in a few weeks and I remember hearing that song right at the beginning of high school, and there being a line in the song "And you still act like you're in Freshman year" and seeing the music video and my fundie foster parents flipping out because three naked tattooed dudes were running around in it. Hey, I just realized as of this may, I graduated high school 10 years ago. ;__;
I like Kung-Fu.
