    If it's made with whipped egg whites, then frosting. Or you can get more specific like butter-cream frosting.

    Frosting is the swirly stuff on cupcakes.

    Icing isn't ice and frosting isn't frozen, so I never really got either terms.

    Well I dunno how it is in Crazyland but in the United States of FREEDOM, frosting and icing are two different things and displayed on different shelves in every store.
