Yeah it straight up told you it was (SPOILER)the Great Intelligence, the villain from the last episode - the Christmas one. You saw the delightful face of Richard E. Grant for a moment!

And here I just thought (SPOILER) the villain was snow. Silly me.

Loved the episode. No smurfs given about the fact that technologically it makes little to no sense. Doctor Who has always been a science fantasy show and the episode was internally consistent, which was the important part. Presumably (SPOILER)the Great Intelligence has the power to override trivial considerations like the abilities of wi-fi in real life.

Love Clara's character and want it to be next Saturday already.

I'm surprised it's available to torrent so quickly.

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

It aired in the U.K. at like 3pm our time, if not even earlier. It shouldn't be that surprising.

Also, I guess we know why Oswin has such mad haxxorz
    Yeah, I agree about the ending. ;.;

I finally got to sit down and watch the episode. I liked it a lot, and I like that Clara has her own mysteries and riddles and all that.

EDIT: Also found this on Tumblr and it made me lol. Might be spoilery?

I assume space hacking is completely different to regular hacking, if you told an alien hacking isnt like that at all, then they'd be the one sneering at your simple computer skillz as they push the anal probe deeper.

Overall decent episode. I don't really expect Doctor Who, or any show like it, to portray anything but super fantastical things when it comes to most subjects - especially technology. (SPOILER)The Great Intelligence being the bad guy should make for some entertaining episodes and pretty neat twists.

Currently trying to figure out how, or if, the missing numbers from Clara's book are important (1-9, 16, and 23). Those seem like something that would come into play later on as a clue to what, or who, she really is. Also, did anyone notice the author of the book?

Of course, it was (SPOILER)Amy Pond (well, Williams, but regardless, it's clearly Pond). There's no way that won't have an effect on later episodes.

To be honest while the ending was sad it was also kind of scary. I mean, the fact that (SPOILER)the Great Intelligence can reduce someone to the mental state of a child is pretty damn creepy.

    I thought the point was
(SPOILER)THe Great Intelligence had been controlling her since she was a young child and by restoring default factory settings she was going back to the way she was before she started being controlled

Unless you were making a joke

(SPOILER)Now that I've read more about the episode you're right. I must have missed where they said she'd been under mind control for fifty years. I'll have to watch it (and a lot of the other episodes) again - I suspect there were a lot of small things I missed.

(SPOILER)she said something along the lines of "i've had you whispering in my ear for so long I dont rememebr who i was before" I dont think it ever says how long which is what makes it such a shock when she's a child again. And if we recall the snow man episode, TGI was controlling that old man since he was young too so that seems to be it's MO

Yeah, Blackmage Nuke, that's what I took from it as well.

(SPOILER)So, who's the woman in the shop? At first I thought maybe it was River, but then I threw that idea away, because it looks like the Doctor might be developing feelings for Clara. And to me, I never got the impression the Doctor was ever actually in love with River Song. So, I doubt she'd send competition to him.

Because of the book, I also considered it might be Amy, but she'd be dead. And she obviously died in New York, so that's a no go either.

    Any ideas?

Also, I didn't notice that numbers were missing from her journal.

(SPOILER)I also found that age numbers were missing from her book. I knew 23 was missing, I didn't give a hard enough look for the other numbers. It's interesting why their missing.

As for the lady in the shop? Hmm. Might be River Song. That was my first guess. It's going to be a friend of the Doctor I think. It can't be Amy or Rory given they were sent way back in time. Could be Martha I suppose, I mean, she's not dead or otherwise been teleported off somewhere. I can't think of any other ladies to be fair.
