I'M NOT READY! -runs off in the TARDIS-
You guys have no idea how much I wish that Sherlock thing was a real thing though
So I've been watching Torchwood and it's okay but I'm partway through Children of Earth now and Capaldi plays a major character and that's just going to be weird that he's gonna be three people in the Doctor Who universe now.
The Torchwood specials are way inferior to the two T.V series, I reckon. A shame Torchwood is effectively over now though; I quite enjoyed it.
It's not over permanently; it's just on indefinite hiatus.
And I thought Children of Earth was at least as good as the first two series. Still haven't seen Miracle Day though. But yeah, good show and I miss it.
Indefinite hiatus sounds alot like an unofficial dumping if you ask me. It might come back sure, but there aren't any signs of it yet.
As for the specials, Miracle Day wasn't as good. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed both of them, it's just that, I didn't enjoy them as much as the main series. I think as soon as they began Torchwood Spoilers!killing off most of the main team it sort of got to a stage where you think "where do you go from here?"
Davies has said he intends to make more Torchwood, but he is also a tremendous procrastinator and doesn't know when it'll happen.
I do agree that (SPOILER) killing off three fifths of the main cast may not have been in the show's best interest.
