Good episode. (SPOILER)Didnt like that Tennant regenerating into himself counts as a regeneration though.
Liked that the Silence were priests all along
Liked the sudden snap regeneration
Didnt cry though I could feel the feels
Also confused as to why he didnt release the time lords from the crack

Kefka's coming, look intimidating!
Have a nice day!!
It was canny (SPOILER) As per usual Moffat kinda slips up in the end. It was honestly great, the Doctor's Last Stand.
He KNEW and accepted he was dying. He refused to go down like an emotionally broken wimp. To the end he just improvised as much as he could to keep the stalemate dragging.
What annoyed me though was the use of the crack in the universe. There could have been so much potential for the fact that was supposedly the time lords on the other side waiting for "the name". The church dedicated to silence was fantastic, finally tied up the "silence will fall" thing.
Wasn't meant to be though, about 10 minutes before the end, they gave the Doctor a whole new set of regenerations suddenly out of nowhere because Clara basically asked them. I like Clara but she's becoming too much of a "I win" button, a Deus Ex Machina in the last few stories, it made it seem a bit anti climatic but its Moffat, he cannot write endings.
Now Smith's performance. Jaw droppingly good, I've always seen him as a shadow in Tennant's stride as the Doctor as they were both so similar but he totally surpassed him here. Its such a shame its all over now, I wasn't ready to say goodbye.
I was so close to tearing up. The speech, Amy... "Raggedy man, goodnight" oh lawds, SO MANY FEELS. STOP IT. PLEASE.
Then *poof* Capaldi who I instantly like. Bit sudden but it works.
"I've got new kidneys!"
LET THE HAMMER FALL
(SPOILER)Personally I think they gave him the regens because he's the only one who can get them out of the other universe. Extra regens have been aquirable since the old series but A little more explanation wouldve been nice yes. Maybe some time in the future it will all be explained by saying "such and such gave up thier regens to you and died".

I enjoyed the episode but it was honestly a bit of an anticlimax after the 50th. I also didn't like that the Weeping Angels barely appeared and felt (SPOILER)the Silence's heel face turn could have been better explained (I understood why it happened but it was just sort of there in the episode and didn't have much of an impact on me). Smith's performance was stunning though, and it was a worthy sendoff to his Doctor. Would give the episode about a 7 or 8 out of 10.
Now I'm wondering how the hell I'm going to get to August :/
As for top eleven Eleven episodes, I'll have to think about that.
(SPOILER) Yeah that was my thought, that's WHY they did it. In exchange for eventually bringing them back into the universe they gave him means to better his chances of doing so.
The whole "Clara asks and they give" though, bah... Its sad... I like Clara too... not just because Jenna Louise Coleman is pretty as hell... totally not.
LET THE HAMMER FALL
Easy.
1.) A Good Man Goes To War
2.) The Eleventh Hour
3.) The Beast Below
4.) The Time Of Angels/Flesh And Stone
5.) The Wedding Of River Song
6.) The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang
7.) The Impossible Astronaut/Day Of The Moon
8.) The Snowmen
9.) The Rings Of Akhaten
10.) Vincent And The Doctor
11.) The Time Of The Doctor
And yes, I did listen to the music while writing this.
You have good taste, sir! I really wanted a place for The Beast Below in my list but couldn't quite do it.
Almost had the same problem for Vincent and The Doctor, but then I figured the 50th probably didn't count so...
Also
I'm gonna go cry now.
1. The Beast Below
2. Vincent and the Doctor
3. A Christmas Carol
4. The Rebel Flesh/The Almost People
5. The Girl Who Waited
6. The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon
7. Asylum of the Daleks
8. The Angels Take Manhatten
9. The Rings of Akhaten
10. The Crimson Horror
11. The Day of the Doctor
These aren't in ranking order; I really can't choose which one I like best. These are just my favorites, and there are certainly other episodes I loved that I left off the list!![]()
