Seriously, though... Denmark is correct, it is technically a fruit, but as with any fruit that is not sweet, it is considered a vegetable by cooks who can't comprehend the idea of being able to cook a fruit.
Also, gourds and squashes are technically from the same family, this is true, but I think they might be different, so I'm not sure how correct that 'technical' bit of the poll is.
