Talking to yourself/inanimate objects

I used to thank automatic doors for opening for me. It was out of politeness.

I do this sometimes, if there's no one around. I also thank my laptop if it loads quicker than normal and isn't being an idiot computer. That, and any other gadget that isn't acting up.

Besides thanking inanimate objects, I routinely talk to myself. Like, all the time. But only if I'm alone. If I have others with me, I'd rather talk to them, I'm sort of a last resort if no-one else is around
