I like going on power trips every once in a while. It keeps me on my toes and gives me valuable experience that I will need to fight BoB in the thunderdome someday. (He is the current reigning champion of power trips.)
And I agree on the sphere grid. I never got to play the game with the Expert Sphere Grid though
To be honest, I've wanted to replay X for a while now, but I want to wait for the HD reskin to come out. All the X talk makes waiting difficult.
The difference between the normal and advanced Sphere Grid is night and day. Normal is an offensive and pretty system of linear character development, with a few chances to branch out and grab an extra speed sphere or something. Advanced is a crazy network of spheres that let you reasonably easily turn any character towards any role. Never play without it if you have the option.

FFX is my second favorite FF, behind IV. I love this game more than some members of my family.

FFX is my best FF game after FFVIII. It has great storyline, great characters and fantastic leveling up system. It is such a large game and FFX is the RPG that I played longest that any other. What is good in the game? One word everything, nothing specific, just everything.
My thoughts exactly. I love pretty much everything about this game, and I've been itching to pick it up again. I've already decided to purchase the HD reskin though, so I want to wait until then. Ahh, choices
My favourite part about X is the story. FFX was the first game that really messed up my emotions. The story is so engaging. The first time I played it I would scream/laugh/cry at the game whenever something happened. I used to get stuck a lot because I'm pretty terrible at video games, but the motivation to see what happened next kept me from giving up.
The music is fantastic as well.
